This rodent-style distortion has 4 clipping modes, an added low frequency contour knob, a boosted JFET output stage, relay-based true bypass soft switching, and a mixture of high quality modern components with unique NOS components--most notably a UA208 metal can op-amp, a military grade version of the famous LM308.

LEVEL - Controls output volume. With the boosted output stage there is ample volume available.

DISTORT - Controls amount of distortion. High settings can cause the op-amp to overload and sag during hard pick attacks. Interacts with the Justice knob.

FILTER - Controls a low pass filter operating at 32KHz at minimum to 475Hz at maximum. The higher the filter is turned up, the more high frequencies will be cut.

JUSTICE - Controls a high pass filter within the gain stage operating at 1.5KHz at minimum and 72Hz at maximum. The more it is turned up, the more low frequencies enter the distortion. This control is especially useful for fattening up low gain tones.

SOFT - Asymmetrical MOSFETs and germanium diodes within the gain stage to provide soft clipping. This mode achieves sounds more similar to an overdrive and provides the greatest output volume.

MOS - Symmetrical MOSFETs after the gain stage to provide hard clipping. This mode gives a modern and heavy distortion sound.

ASY - Asymmetrical germanium and NOS silicon diodes after the gain stage to provide hard clipping. This mode will give classic distortion sounds with rich harmonics.

GERM - Symmetrical Soviet black glass germanium diodes after the gain stage to provide hard clipping. This mode offers the greatest amount of compression.

Use 9v center-negative DC power only, preferably from a regulated and isolated power supply for best noise performance. Current draw is less than 100mA.
